Funding Opportunities for PoC Projects - POCHI Call

A new funding initiative for Proof of Concept (PoC) projects has been launched aimed at professors, researchers, research fellows, PhD students, students, and other research personnel at the IUSS Advanced School and/or the Scuola Normale Superiore.

A valuable opportunity to turn innovative ideas into tangible realities and contribute to the development of research and innovation in various disciplines.

The POCHI - Proof of Concept High Innovation call represents the first internal initiative aimed at enhancing research results through the implementation of PoC projects. Funded under the program "Specialized Higher Schools: institutions serving the country", this call aims to support the pre-competitive development of entrepreneurial ideas and research results in both hard sciences and social sciences and humanities fields.

Recipients and Funding: The available funding ranges from a minimum of €10,000 to a maximum of €30,000 for projects with a maximum duration of 24 months. Recipients include professors, researchers, research fellows, PhD students, students, and other research personnel working at the involved institutions.

Selection and Application: Candidate projects will be evaluated and selected by a dedicated Committee, according to criteria specified in the call. The application process occurs in two steps:

Step 1 - Pre-Admission: Completion of the pre-admission form by 1:00 PM on February 29, 2024. Step 2 - Project Form: Presentation of projects and their funding requests through the project form submission procedure communicated to Step 1 participants. The deadline for submission is set at 1:00 PM on April 14, 2024.
