Biografia

Luigi obtained his Master's degree in civil engineer from the University of Bologna with a thesis focused on the heavy tail behaviour of rainfall extremes. In 2018 he started his PhD at IUSS in Understanding and Managing Extremes where he has conducted research on trend analysis of sub-daily precipitation extremes and lately on the application of machine learning for risk reduction measures due to natural hazards.
