Biography

Matilde Barbini holds a BA in Ancient Literature, from the University of Florence. Her BA thesis was titled “Being as True and Non-being as False in Aristotle’s Metaphysics E4” (supervisor: Prof. Francesco Ademollo). She later went on to study at the University of Siena, where her focus shifted towards linguistics,deepening subject areas such as psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, language acquisition, corpus linguistics and, in particular, computational linguistics. In 2021 she obtained cum laude the MA Degree in Languae and Mind, Linguistics and Cognitive Studies by defending a thesis titled "(Dis)advantages of an automatic parsing of Italian pathological productions: an investigation of the speech in Primary Progressive Aphasia” (supervisor: Prof. Cristiano Chesi; co-supervisor: Prof.ssa Adriana Belletti).
