Orientation School “Educating Future Citizens (EFC)” – IUSS Pavia

The Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS of Pavia, in collaboration with the Scuola di Studi Superiori "Ferdinando Rossi" of Turin, is pleased to announce the 2025 edition of the Orientation School “Educating Future Citizens (EFC)”, which will take place:

  • from 23 to 27 June 2025 at the historic and prestigious Palazzo del Broletto, the vibrant heart of IUSS Pavia;
  • from 24 to 27 June 2025 at the Scuola di Studi Superiori "Ferdinando Rossi" in Turin.

This initiative is designed to guide high school students in their fourth year toward a more informed choice for their future, introducing them to a model of advanced university education characterized by a supra-disciplinary and interactive approach.

Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to attend lectures, participate in hands-on workshops, and engage in open discussions with faculty members and tutors—all within an environment that fosters curiosity and in-depth learning.

Moreover, thanks to free accommodation in the Collegi di Merito in Pavia, participants will enjoy a unique and engaging academic experience, interacting with students from all over Italy and fully immersing themselves in university life.

The initiative is completely free of charge and requires no registration fees.

IUSS Pavia is the lead institution for the Educating Future Citizens (EFC) project, an initiative aimed at fostering responsible and aware citizenship through innovative educational pathways.

The EFC – Educating Future Citizens project (project code: SSU2024-00002), funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU under Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 3.4 of the NRRP (PNRR), involves three institutions with special university status:
Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS – Pavia (lead institution), IMT School for Advanced Studies – Lucca, International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) – Trieste, and five university-based schools:
Scuola di Studi Superiori "C. Urbani" – University of Camerino; Scuola di Studi Superiori "G. Leopardi" – University of Macerata; Scuola di Studi Superiori "F. Rossi" – University of Turin; Advanced School of the University of Udine; and Ca’ Foscari International College – University of Venice.

The EFC project (project code: SSU2024-00002), funded under Article 11, paragraph 1, of Call 594/2024, supports the implementing entities of Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 3.4 "Advanced teaching and university skills" as part of the NRRP sub-investment “Strengthening of Higher University Schools.”
