Defining the Third Mission

Definiamo la terza missione
Testo

The theme of technology transfer has evolved into a broader concept of the third mission, which has become a stable focus of actions, policies, and daily activities in Italian universities and public research institutions. However, it has not been fully and completely defined yet. Among the many interventions needed to bridge the remaining gap, training stands out. There is a need for greater commitment to updating skills and aligning operational behaviors of professors, technical-administrative staff, policymakers, etc.

In this regard, considering it as part of their statutory duties, the CRUI Foundation, Netval, and CODAU have decided to offer a training course on Strategies, Models, Organization, and Tools to Maximize Knowledge Valorization and Impact on Society.

The course is intended for Vice Chancellors' Delegates and administrative and managerial officials, key figures in university departments, as well as executives and officers in public research institutions.

For several years now, the IUSS School has been directly involved in the training process offered by the course, held annually at the CRUI headquarters.

Participating as speakers are Rector Riccardo Pietrabissa and General Director Giuseppe Conti, recognized experts in the field at the national level.
